Responsibilities
- Architect and develop solutions for PTC Windchill, ThingWorx Navigate, custom J2EE/Java EE applications, AWS-hosted environments, and Microsoft SharePoint.
- Lead frontend and backend development for Windchill document management, workflows, data exports, and other engineering solutions.
- Build responsive web and mobile applications and features.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, functional customers, development teams, product owners, and project leaders.
- Lead cross-functional development efforts and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Develop and optimize database queries, procedures, and packages.
- Write and maintain code, APIs, and scripts; coordinate pre-production releases and validate post-production deployments.
- Create technical specifications, documentation, and test cases for development teams and end users.
- Troubleshoot development issues and coordinate with third-party vendors when needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Software Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on J2EE/Java EE and application development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience leading development efforts, including customizations and configurations for PTC Windchill PDMLink workflows.
- Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases is preferred.
- ThingWorx Navigate UI and backend experience is advantageous.
- Understanding of Linux and AWS cloud environments.
- Strong understanding of PTC PLM development and architecture and experience with Windchill API components and architecture for custom development.
- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Test-Driven Development methodologies.
- Ability to write technical specifications and create test cases from functional documentation.
- Strong English communication, interpersonal, collaboration, problem-solving, and independent working skills.
- Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends as needed.
