Base Salary
$141k - $226k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build modern C++ and Rust software powering real-time video streaming on Axon Body cameras and Fusus edge devices.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and maintainability of native streaming services.
- Design native APIs and SDKs integrating edge, mobile, and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with embedded software, cloud, and machine learning engineers to deliver streaming capabilities.
- Help shape the architecture and technical direction of the native streaming platform.
- Lead technical design discussions and mentor teammates through code reviews.
Requirements
- Professional experience building production software in modern C++ or Rust.
- Experience designing, debugging, and optimizing native systems software.
- Strong understanding of concurrency, performance, and software design fundamentals.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple layers of the software stack.
- Preferred experience with Embedded Linux or IoT development.
- Preferred experience with video, media, or streaming technologies such as GStreamer, FFmpeg, or WebRTC.
- Preferred experience developing SDKs, libraries, or APIs.
- Preferred experience with networking or distributed systems.
