Responsibilities
- Design and build foundational systems for Scrunch's platform.
- Operate and maintain cloud infrastructure and developer tooling.
- Implement observability and reliability measures for critical systems.
- Deploy and manage edge compute functions effectively.
- Automate infrastructure management using tools like Terraform.
- Identify and resolve database performance bottlenecks.
- Design reliable async pipelines using workflow orchestration tools.
- Write production-quality code primarily in Python.
Requirements
- Experience in a high-velocity software development organization.
- Proven experience designing and operating cloud services at scale, preferably on GCP.
- Familiarity with edge computing and when to utilize it.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
- Solid understanding of database performance and scaling patterns.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Prefect or Airflow.
- Strong foundation in building observable systems with logging and metrics.
- Comfortable writing production-quality code, mainly in Python.
