Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud-edge software, applications, and specialized utility programs.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams on system-level software solutions.
- Deliver technical projects on embedded processors involving processor architecture, memory, board support, and peripheral control.
- Develop and debug embedded software for GNSS receivers and location-based systems.
- Build embedded systems and application software for embedded Linux, Android, and related operating systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 1+ year, or a PhD in a related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- At least 5 years of embedded software development experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with Python and shell scripting.
- Experience with embedded development and debugging tools, processor architecture and memory, board support, peripheral control, and operating systems such as FreeRTOS, Embedded Linux, and Android.
- Preferred experience developing GNSS receivers and location-based systems, working with 3GPP location and data protocols, and developing automotive-grade Linux and Android systems.
- Practical experience using AI code-assist tools such as Claude or Copilot in resource-constrained embedded software environments is preferred.
