Responsibilities
- Design Azure-hosted solutions that satisfy business and technical requirements.
- Create scalable, reliable, secure, and highly available cloud environments.
- Act as the Azure Cloud Champion for application development and DevOps teams.
- Guide development and DevOps teams in integrating cloud solutions.
- Coordinate infrastructure architecture reviews and provide technical mentorship.
- Work with application architects, DevSecOps, and Cyber teams on security reviews.
- Monitor performance and security, optimize cloud resources and costs, and implement automation.
- Implement disaster recovery strategies and maintain high availability of cloud resources.
- Liaise with vendors and cloud providers, maintain technical documentation, and report on service performance and cost trends.
- Produce proofs of concept and help translate software delivery phases into agile cloud-automation work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud architecture.
- Expertise with Azure Cloud and PaaS offerings including AKS, Azure SQL, APIM, and Azure Service Bus.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containers, and microservices architecture.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, and database management.
- Knowledge of source code management concepts including branching, merging, integration, and versioning.
- Ability to create proofs of concept and support development and DevOps teams.
- Ability to apply software delivery phases such as planning, coding, building, testing, releasing, deploying, and monitoring to agile cloud automation.
- Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect certification and experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines are preferred.
- Intermediate-plus English proficiency.
