Base Salary

$184k - $232k/yr

Responsibilities

Own the architecture for the Finance Technology platform, including pay-ins, payouts, invoicing, and tax calculation.
Define clear, well-versioned APIs and contracts for Finance Technology services.
Lead multi-quarter initiatives from problem shaping to delivery while remaining hands-on in the code.
Evaluate finance technology providers and maintain awareness of the evolving financial technology landscape.
Drive innovation and experimentation in Finance Technology's AI-native software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with senior technical leaders to align on shared patterns and standards.
Facilitate collaborative design through technical discussions and architectural decisions.
Partner with Platform Engineering on shared service patterns and CI/CD.
Provide mentorship and architectural guidance through design and code reviews.
Participate in an on-call rotation to address customer-impacting production issues.

8+ years of professional development experience with a focus on backend technologies.
Proven success as a technical lead on multi-quarter, multi-team initiatives.
Deep experience in designing and scaling payment-processing and payout systems.
Hands-on experience with modern payment service providers and gateways.
Familiarity with workflow orchestration technologies such as Temporal.
Strong quality mindset regarding security best practices and automated testing.
Excellent communication skills for collaborative system design and decision-making.
Experience with feature flags, telemetry, and safe rollout techniques.
Ability to triage and investigate customer-impacting production issues.
Track record of collaborating with Product and Design teams.
Eagerness to give and receive feedback in a collaborative environment.
Friendly, flexible, and pragmatic approach to work.
Willingness to travel up to 5 days per quarter for team events.
