Responsibilities
- Partner with software engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-performing mobile features for more than 100 million customers.
- Influence multi-quarter engineering roadmaps covering new capabilities, performance optimization, and platform modernization.
- Architect, build, and maintain core mobile components and shared libraries for multiple teams.
- Define standards for cross-platform consistency, scalability, accessibility, release practices, CI/CD, observability, and reliability engineering.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in mobile performance, networking, and platform-specific UI frameworks.
- Define strategies for agentic AI tools and open-standard tools such as Model Context Protocol across multiple teams.
- Mentor and guide senior engineers in AI-native workflows and agentic coding.
- Make hands-on technical contributions using advanced native mobile capabilities and UI patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering, mobile architectural design, and multi-team project execution experience, excluding internships.
- At least 6 years of experience building native Android or iOS applications.
- At least 3 years of experience architecting or leading federated native mobile applications.
- Preferred: 7 or more years building native mobile applications.
- Preferred: experience with SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, automated mobile testing suites, modular architecture, state management, mobile performance optimization, shared SDKs, BFFs, gRPC/Protobuf, CoreML, TensorFlow Lite, staged rollouts, feature flags, and agentic AI coding tools.
- Preferred: technical leadership for a large product area and influence over technical vision and roadmaps.

- Annual salary ranges by location are $229,900–$262,400 in McLean, VA and $250,800–$286,200 in New York, NY, plus potential performance-based incentive compensation.
