Forward Deployed Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Develop and deploy AI agents and experiences that take actions in enterprise environments.
- Design prompts, reasoning workflows, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems.
- Own technical components from architecture through deployment, validation, observability, and production operation.
- Build and integrate data pipelines using Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
- Build agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting to track deployment health and business outcomes.
- Develop proofs of concept and MVPs that progress rapidly from concept to deployment.
- Co-build solutions with customers and partners while sharing enablement and best practices.
- Identify platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights for senior engineers and product teams.
- Partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer challenges into deployable agentic solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience.
- At least one production system experience that the candidate can demonstrate.
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering.
- Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
- Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales teams and customer architects.
- Ability to produce quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor.
- Interest in experimenting with new AI tools, models, and data technologies.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
