Responsibilities

  • Design and build robust infrastructure and application components using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Azure.
  • Develop, troubleshoot, maintain, and secure application code while considering upstream and downstream system impacts.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI coding and software development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation, while validating their outputs.
  • Support deployments and configuration management, including Kubernetes-based deployment automation, scaling, and management.
  • Gather and analyze large, diverse data sets to identify problems and support secure, stable application development.
  • Apply software development lifecycle processes, methodologies, and secure coding practices.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating and refining their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations, with the ability to guide peers.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, API development, SQL databases, Shell, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of API gateways and their configuration.
  • Preferred qualifications include Angular or React UI development, networking concepts, comprehensive SDLC experience, and Terraform.
