Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, stable, scalable software solutions.
  • Create architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation meets design constraints.
  • Develop and maintain production code and algorithms across multiple technical areas.
  • Lead responsible adoption of approved AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting tools.
  • Establish validation practices including secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and performance checks for AI-assisted outputs.
  • Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve delivery outcomes.
  • Analyze large and diverse datasets and create visualizations and reports to improve software applications and systems.
  • Identify data patterns and hidden problems to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on software industry experience specializing in Java, Python, AWS, and Terraform.
  • Hands-on AWS experience including EKS, S3, Lambda, and EMR, with practical cloud-native solution delivery.
  • Experience leading responsible use of AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on secure, compliant adoption.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and infrastructure, software design principles, and end-to-end delivery.
  • Experience with streaming systems such as Kafka.
  • Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, automation, continuous delivery, and operational stability.
  • Preferred qualifications include advanced knowledge of application resiliency, security, the software development lifecycle, data engineering, AWS EMR, Databricks, and financial services IT systems.
  • Software engineering or technical certifications are a plus.
