Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage self-service APIs, services, CLI tools, sandboxes, and environments for the internal AI Background Agents Platform.
- Build secure, stateful runtime harnesses for autonomous agents, including lifecycle management, execution sandboxing, and tool or API invocation.
- Design deployment pipelines and automated delivery engines supporting canary and blue-green releases for the platform and its agents.
- Implement security guardrails addressing execution-level vulnerabilities and prompt injection risks.
- Build centralized distributed tracing and monitoring for agent decisions, LLM calls, and iteration loops.
- Maintain shared developer infrastructure, create general-purpose CLI utilities, and resolve developer experience bottlenecks.
- Mentor engineers on designing and implementing platform-level solutions across Signicat products.
Requirements
- Strong production experience using Python and Go for backend services or developer-facing tooling.
- Experience designing clean API contracts and systems primarily consumed by other software developers.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based environments and deploying containerized workloads.
- Experience with continuous delivery patterns and progressive deployment strategies.
- Conceptual or hands-on understanding of LLM-backed systems, including memory management, tool calling, and frameworks such as Google ADK or LangChain.
- Ability to write testable, clean code, design backward-compatible interfaces, and produce high-quality technical documentation.
- Experience with or strong interest in reproducible, localized developer workflows using Nix or devenv.
- Understanding of sandboxing techniques such as gVisor, WebAssembly, or isolated Docker runtimes.
- Experience with enterprise observability stacks such as OpenTelemetry or Datadog.
