Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain video processing and content delivery applications.
- Develop solutions for video streaming, encoding, transcoding, packaging, and media distribution.
- Work on IPTV, OTT, Broadcast TV, and Video-on-Demand platforms.
- Integrate and support HLS, MPEG-DASH, RTP, RTSP, MPEG-TS, and related video delivery technologies.
- Troubleshoot customer, integration, and production issues involving video platforms.
- Participate in architecture discussions, software design reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, customer, operator, and global engineering teams across development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Build scalable and reliable software solutions and support automation, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in video engineering, telecom, broadband, multimedia, or streaming-platform development; the broader role description also states 5–12 years.
- Strong programming skills in C++, Java, or related technologies.
- Hands-on experience with IPTV, OTT, Broadcast TV, or video-streaming platforms.
- Strong understanding of H.264, H.265/HEVC, MPEG, and related video codecs.
- Knowledge of HLS, MPEG-DASH, RTP, RTSP, and MPEG-TS streaming protocols.
- Experience developing in Linux-based environments.
- Understanding of content delivery, video processing, encoding, transcoding, packaging, media workflows, and streaming architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience with CI/CD tools, DevOps practices, software automation, and Agile development environments.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud-native and microservices architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, CDN and media-distribution systems, AWS, Azure, GCP, and video analytics, monitoring, and observability solutions.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, client-facing, collaboration, and analytical skills.
