Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade agentic AI systems.
- Provide technical mentorship and oversight to engineering squads.
- Collaborate with Investments, Investments Technology, TRP Labs, and business stakeholders to scale responsible AI solutions.
- Develop agent-driven workflows that automate complex processes and generate actionable investment insights.
- Establish engineering standards, architectural patterns, governance frameworks, automated testing practices, code reviews, and continuous delivery discipline.
- Oversee agent orchestration, prompt engineering, real-time data-driven automation, AI platforms, and infrastructure.
- Prioritize technical debt and drive continuous improvements in AI platforms and infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI agents to increase business value and operational efficiency.
- Translate organizational and investment-business requirements into robust, scalable technology solutions.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of progressive professional development experience in object-oriented languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Demonstrated leadership of engineering teams and ability to mentor others.
- Hands-on expertise architecting and delivering cloud-native solutions using AWS or Azure, containerized microservices, and agent frameworks.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving ability, with experience guiding teams through complex technical challenges.
- Ability to communicate with and influence business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to engineering excellence through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous delivery.
- Preferred experience building LLM-powered or agent-based systems in production.
- Preferred experience with retrieval-augmented generation, vector databases, MCP servers, agent orchestration frameworks, prompt evaluation and iteration, model benchmarking, and performance testing.
- Preferred experience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, AWS Kiro, and OpenAI Codex.
- Experience in asset management, financial markets, or quantitative research environments is preferred.
- Understanding of financial markets, financial instruments, and financial datasets is preferred.
- FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Benefits
- Base salary ranges from $145,000.00-$247,000.00 in Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and for remote workers; $159,000.00-$272,000.00 in Washington, D.C.; and $181,000.00-$309,000.00 in New York and California.
