Responsibilities
- Build, scale, and evolve the marketing website’s section library using Astro components, Sanity schemas, and design tokens.
- Own the content model and design schemas that enable safe, composable page creation by editors and AI agents.
- Translate Figma component specifications into responsive, accessible, production-ready experiences across mobile, tablet, and desktop.
- Extend the platform for AI-assisted development and reliable generation of on-brand website sections.
- Own SEO integrity, including canonicals, sitemaps, structured data, redirects, and launch performance.
- Maintain localization across nine locales and extend the translation pipeline.
- Work end to end across frontend, server-side rendering, serverless and edge runtimes, API routes, databases, secrets, and CI.
- Raise engineering standards through code review, reusable patterns, and targeted tests.
- Shape the website platform’s technical direction over the next 6 to 12 months and support adoption by publishers.
Requirements
- At least five years of software engineering experience, including three years at senior level, building frontend systems for content-driven or marketing platforms.
- Hands-on experience owning content models in Sanity, including schema design, GROQ, and Portable Text.
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript, including component API design and shared-library developer experience.
- Ability to work across frontend and server-side systems, including SSR, serverless and edge runtimes, API routes, SQL databases, secrets, and CI.
- Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, web performance, and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards.
- Experience or accountability for website performance, SEO, analytics events, and conversion metrics.
- Strong design judgment, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, code review, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred experience with large SaaS marketing websites, Astro or similar frameworks, Cloudflare Workers, AWS Lambda, Tailwind CSS v4, token-based design systems, AI-consumable component libraries and content models, localization at scale, and analytics or tag-management implementation.
