Responsibilities
- Establish the Flexibility team’s frontend capability, lead frontend technical direction, and represent the team within the frontend engineering community.
- Build and own customer-facing journeys for onboarding, controlling, and analysing low-carbon technology.
- Build internal-facing interfaces and experimental prototypes for stakeholders and collaborators.
- Provide WebViews for emerging mobile customer journeys and collaborate with established mobile teams.
- Integrate designs into the Coral design system with the internal design team.
- Conduct product discovery with the Product Manager and organisational stakeholders.
- Build reusable interfaces that support rapid response to new opportunities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with the stated frontend stack.
- Experience developing strong solutions from loosely defined problems rather than strict guidelines.
- Confidence owning the full development cycle from requirements and technical proposals through execution, deployment, and monitoring.
- Confidence tackling large-scale tasks independently.
- An empathetic approach to delegation and collaboration.
- Ability to develop websites meeting strong accessibility guidelines.
- Experience building scalable, performant websites that handle high traffic.
- React and TypeScript experience are required; Next.js, Vercel, GraphQL, TanStack Query, React Testing Library, Vitest, and/or MSW experience are desirable.
- Energy domain knowledge is desirable.
