Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reusable AI capabilities, including models, tools, APIs, and platforms for internal and customer-facing solutions.
- Develop and maintain Forter’s internal MCP server to securely expose company data stores to AI agents.
- Create evaluation frameworks and AI guardrails to improve model reliability, performance, and safety.
- Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems and AI-driven agentic workflows.
- Own projects end to end, from gathering requirements through development, deployment, and operation.
- Establish sustainable AI engineering practices and promote AI readiness and adoption across the company.
- Consult with and advocate for AI engineering across teams, partnering on AI adoption and productization efforts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend and server-side development experience building complex, highly scalable systems.
- Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language, preferably Python.
- Strong product management and requirements-gathering skills for working with non-technical internal users.
- Some DevOps experience and willingness to develop, deploy, and operate projects end to end.
- Solid understanding of generative AI, large language models, and foundation models.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
- Hands-on experience with AI-driven workflows, agentic frameworks, evaluations, RAG systems, MCPs, or skills.
- Experience working with public clouds such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
