Base Salary
$150k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own product features from requirements through production deployment.
- Design APIs and data models and implement frontend and backend code.
- Ship and iterate on user-facing experiences based on usability, performance, and feedback.
- Integrate LLM and AI capabilities into reliable, production-grade product flows.
- Build and maintain scalable backend services, data schemas, and operational tooling.
- Collaborate with founders, product, and design on prioritization and success metrics.
- Contribute to architecture and roadmap discussions and make pragmatic early-stage tradeoffs.
Requirements
- Require 2 to 8 years of software engineering experience and a track record of shipping user-facing products.
- Require full-stack skills with TypeScript and React/Next.js on the frontend and Python or Node.js on the backend.
- Require hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Require practical production experience integrating LLMs or other AI services.
- Require product sense and the ability to translate user problems into measurable solutions.
- Require comfort working in small, ambiguous teams and context-switching across frontend, backend, and DevOps.
- Experience with multi-tenant or enterprise-ready systems, API design, real-time systems, or high-throughput applications is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and experience in healthcare, fintech, or legal industries are bonuses.
Benefits
- Salary range is $150,000 to $300,000 USD annually.
- On-site in San Francisco, California; this is not a remote role.
