Base Salary
$138k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture, development, and delivery of PeopleOS and related internal People Technology tools.
- Partner with People Operations stakeholders to translate workflows into software and support technical design, implementation, UAT, and releases.
- Design, build, test, and maintain integrations across Workday, Greenhouse, Lattice, Slack, and Google Workspace.
- Build custom MCP servers that provide AI agents with structured access to People Systems data.
- Use Anthropic Claude and similar AI APIs to build internal tools such as coaching agents, HR chatbots, and ticket-deflection workflows.
- Design prompts, parse structured responses, and create safe and reliable AI-assisted People Operations workflows.
- Document integration specifications, data mappings, and configurations in Notion and participate in Jira planning and stakeholder demos.
- Troubleshoot portfolio-wide issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of full-stack software engineering experience.
- Production-quality experience with Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or both.
- Strong experience building and consuming APIs, including OAuth flows, rate limiting, pagination, and error handling.
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms, with Workday, Greenhouse, Slack, or Google Workspace experience preferred.
- Experience integrating AI/LLM APIs such as Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, or equivalent, including prompt design and response parsing.
- Experience shipping internal or developer tools to real end users and incorporating feedback.
- Strong written communication and ability to document APIs, write technical specifications, and explain trade-offs to non-engineers.
- Understanding of sensitive HR data and familiarity with labor law and data retention implications.
- Familiarity with MCP server architecture is preferred.
- Experience with HR technology ecosystems such as HRIS, ATS, or LMS platforms is preferred.
- Background in People Operations, HR Systems, or internal tools engineering at a high-growth technology company is preferred.
- Experience with XML, XSLT, JSON, and related integration technologies is preferred.
