Base Salary
$150k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, and optimization of Android systems that integrate with WHOOP hardware and firmware.
- Build and optimize mobile data pipelines to process hardware and physiological data in near real time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for system performance improvements and process optimization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance system accessibility, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Mentor teammates by sharing technical expertise and guiding architectural decisions.
- Ensure operational excellence by maintaining high standards for security, performance, and system reliability.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Android development, with strong experience designing APIs and SDKs.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, including data pipelines and database optimization.
- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or other wireless communication protocols preferred.
- Experience working with or integrating hardware development tools and workflows.
- Strong technical leadership skills and the ability to mentor team members.
- Strong communication skills with experience collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
