Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot issues within applications and databases.
- Create unique solutions to issues based on customer requests.
- Work on various data requests for internal or external customers.
- Create scripts to update or create data as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues or data needs.
- Create and update documentation for issues encountered.
- Coach junior colleagues in techniques and processes.
Requirements
- University degree in a computer science or technology field preferred.
- Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English.
- Experience with database query languages such as SQL.
- Experience with database platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools.
- Preferred experience coding in script languages like JavaScript, bash, or Python.
- Preferred experience coding in programming languages such as Java or .Net.
- Preferred experience working in cloud environments.
- Ability to work under pressure in production environments.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in identifying and diagnosing issues within operating systems.
- Capacity to create innovative solutions to unique system issues.
- Willingness to work in the Tokyo office on a hybrid basis.
