Responsibilities
- Drive significant technology initiatives end-to-end across multiple architectural layers.
- Architect and develop scalable, secure, maintainable applications and systems for critical customer needs.
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and document high-volume customer experiences.
- Provide application, platform, and developer-tool recommendations and best practices.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams across time zones.
- Identify opportunities to enhance applications with AI and launch AI integrations in production.
- Evaluate AI integration impact using software-performance and user-satisfaction metrics.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers in software engineering, AI-enabled development, and technical expertise.
- Communicate clearly with employees, customers, management, and executives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related area, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise-class applications.
- Experience with Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and full-stack application development.
- Strong knowledge of scalable application design, algorithms, design patterns, accessibility, internationalization, instrumentation, and web and mobile design constraints.
- Experience with application testing, test automation, unit, integration, and functional testing.
- Experience with relational database design and implementation, SQL, NoSQL databases, and analytics.
- Experience developing and deploying applications and services in cloud environments.
- Experience with microservices, container technologies, and container-management systems such as Kubernetes or Mesos.
- Interest in building CI/CD pipelines and experience with utility or cloud computing.
- In-depth understanding of AI integration and ability to lead integrations while coaching engineers on AI usage.
- Ability to collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers.
