Responsibilities
- Define reusable architectures and reference patterns for orchestration, planning, tool use, memory, evaluation loops, and multi-agent workflows.
- Standardize LLM providers, embedding models, vector databases, retrieval strategies, prompt templates, evaluators, and observability stacks.
- Lead discovery, scoping, proof-of-concept, pilot, and scale-out phases for practical AI solutions.
- Own non-functional requirements including security, privacy, compliance, performance, reliability, and token or compute cost efficiency.
- Establish data contracts, chunking and indexing strategies, hybrid search, citations, freshness pipelines, and hallucination-reduction guardrails.
- Define enterprise integration strategies for APIs, gateways, event streams, messaging systems, cloud services, and release governance.
- Set evaluation frameworks, end-to-end telemetry, failure-mode mitigations, and responsible AI safety policies.
- Guide developer squads, create playbooks and training tracks, establish coding standards, and support interviewer panels.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of Java full-stack development experience.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Strong computer science and software engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and AI APIs.
- Proven ability to build end-to-end applications and integrate AI into existing systems.
- A visible portfolio of AI projects demonstrating experimentation and rapid iteration.
- Ability to translate business problems into practical AI solutions and communicate clearly with business and engineering stakeholders.
- Experience designing multi-agent systems, production-grade RAG, vector databases, hybrid search, and agent frameworks or custom orchestration.
- Familiarity with LLMOps or ModelOps practices such as prompt versioning, evaluation harnesses, feature flags, canarying, A/B testing, and safety gateways.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture, containers, serverless systems, events, secrets management, policy as code, and AI cost governance.
- Experience with enterprise API gateways, event buses, JMS or Kafka messaging, and contract testing.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Java; familiarity with C#/.NET, Go, Rust, SQL, and shell scripting is beneficial.
