Responsibilities
- Validate database functionality, data structures, and backend data flows across the Keeper platform.
- Test CRUD operations, schema updates, migrations, and indexing behavior.
- Verify data integrity, consistency, and correctness across distributed systems.
- Execute SQL queries to validate stored data and backend processing logic.
- Review and test schema changes and database-level logic from a QA perspective.
- Analyze logs and query results to identify defects or anomalies.
- Conduct regression testing related to database updates and backend releases.
- Validate database performance characteristics in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Evaluate vault-level workflows impacting stored records and metadata.
- Document defects and test results clearly in Jira and related tools.
- Participate in reviews of data-handling requirements and system behaviors.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in QA, database testing, or backend testing for SaaS platforms.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries for validation.
- Experience testing relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of schema design, constraints, and relational data modeling.
- Familiarity with backend APIs and JSON-based data flows.
- Ability to analyze data discrepancies and performance issues.
- Experience validating schema updates and data migration processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate closely with backend engineering and QA teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
