Responsibilities
- Own test strategy, automation, and reliability validation for Crawler, Platform, and Search services.
- Design and maintain robust UI automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript and Python.
- Build a unified API automation layer using Playwright alongside AI tools.
- Drive next-generation automation using MCP servers for intelligent code generation.
- Build internal AI-powered QA tools to improve test reliability and accelerate test authoring.
- Architect and continuously improve end-to-end testing frameworks for various testing types.
- Integrate the full automation suite into CI/CD pipelines on AWS using GitHub Actions.
- Build synthetic and chaos testing frameworks to identify edge cases and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with Platform engineers to instrument observability and monitoring.
- Partner with Search engineers to validate query relevance and performance SLAs.
- Introduce static analysis and CI/CD gate validation to catch issues early.
- Create automated performance benchmarking tools for distributed components.
- Drive continuous improvement and quality ownership across mission-critical systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as an SDET and/or QA Automation Engineer.
- Strong coding skills in Python and/or TypeScript with experience in automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and API automation.
- Experience with AI-assisted testing tools for intelligent test generation.
- Experience testing distributed microservices and async data pipelines.
- Hands-on AWS experience with proven CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Familiarity with AWS OpenSearch/Elasticsearch and automated test reporting.
- Experience with performance testing or chaos engineering.
- Strong understanding of logging, metrics, and monitoring.
- Excellent debugging skills with a proactive mindset.
