Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and recommend database architectures for resiliency and high availability.
- Provision and administer cloud database resources using Infrastructure as Code.
- Maintain and troubleshoot database systems in various environments.
- Optimize database performance at the query, schema, and instance levels.
- Implement BCDR and data protection practices across multiple zones.
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure team on best practices.
- Automate common database tasks to reduce manual effort.
- Enhance observability of database schema and infrastructure.
- Participate in incident response and system outage follow-ups.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with relational database concepts and architectures.
- Advanced experience with Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB administration.
- Experience with AWS cloud databases like RDS and DynamoDB.
- Strong communication skills to guide software engineers on database best practices.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- An automation mindset to minimize manual interventions.
- Nice to have: knowledge of GitLab, GitHub, and AWS S3.
- A proactive mindset with a strong bias for action.
