Responsibilities
- Build and maintain platform features across C++, Java, .NET, and Python layers.
- Drive the Python 2 to Python 3 migration and REST API modernization.
- Maintain SWIG-based cross-language interoperability and API parity.
- Write automated tests alongside feature development using the testing pyramid.
- Debug systematically across engine, injector, and controller boundaries.
- Review code for correctness, security, and maintainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and more than five years of relevant experience.
- Strong C++ skills, ideally C++11 or newer, plus strong Python, Java, and C# skills.
- Working knowledge of the Python ecosystem, including uv and PyPI.
- Experience with Git, object-oriented architecture and design, network protocols, multithreaded programming, and secure coding principles.
- Knowledge of Google Test, PyTest, JUnit, test structure, and test-driven development.
- Preferred experience with Eggplant Performance, Eggplant Functional, PyQt, desktop GUI frameworks, Ant, MSBuild, performance/load testing, SWIG, and cross-language binding generators.
- Preferred familiarity with OSS license compliance, including GPL/LGPL and reciprocal license families, and with directing and reviewing AI coding assistants on production codebases.
- Agile working-method experience is a bonus.
