Responsibilities
- Design and deliver Java-based capabilities for the Decision Enrichments platform.
- Build scalable, resilient, secure, and performant distributed systems.
- Develop and deliver business-critical capabilities in collaboration with Agile teams and cross-functional partners.
- Contribute to architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause resolution.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend platform improvements.
- Drive engineering best practices, automation, continuous improvement, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Produce technical designs and documentation aligned with Mastercard standards.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience with Java and JDK 17 or later.
- Experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of scalability, resilience, fault tolerance, multithreading, concurrency, and high-performance application design.
- Experience with event-driven architectures, messaging platforms, relational databases, and data-intensive applications.
- Familiarity with cloud-native application development, containerisation, deployment platforms, security, observability, and monitoring.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, source control, and multi-developer environments.
- Understanding of software design patterns and clean architecture principles.
- Relevant industry experience building enterprise-grade software solutions.
- Experience with Business Rules Management Systems or decisioning platforms is advantageous.
- Interest or experience in AI, intelligent decisioning, fraud prevention, risk systems, or large-scale data platforms is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
