Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, and improve software and systems that increase product reliability and organizational efficiency.
  • Guide reliability practices across the software development lifecycle through architecture reviews, code reviews, platform and framework creation, capacity planning, and chaos testing.
  • Maintain service health through monitoring, alerting, self-healing, and follow-the-sun incident response.
  • Improve reliability through blameless post-incident reviews and code-based prevention or remediation of recurring problems.
  • Lead resilience strategy, redundancy mechanisms, deployment standards, operations standards, and change review for the assigned line of business.
  • Contribute to capacity planning, peak-season readiness, business continuity methodologies, and testing.
  • Interface with key clients as needed and help standardize sales responses by aligning costs, SLAs, and technology with business and DevOps teams.
  • Provide weekend and off-hours support when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience writing code in Java, Go, Shell, Python, or a similar language.
  • Experience with data structures, database systems, algorithms, and software design.
  • Practical knowledge of relational databases, NoSQL key-value stores, and messaging systems.
  • Strong experience in production-level, mission-critical environments and virtualized Linux operating environments.
  • 5+ years of real-world experience.
  • Strong interest in SRE topics including SLOs, resilience, scaling, and performance.
  • Previous SRE or Production Engineering experience is preferred.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Jenkins is preferred.
  • Azure Cloud production workload experience is preferred.
  • BASE24-eps or BASE24 knowledge, including GOAFT, ACI Desktop UI, NCPCOM/XPNET, or ICE-XS, is a plus.
  • Experience with globally distributed teams, distributed-system design feedback, and evaluating technologies and processes is preferred.
  • Strong initiative, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
