Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java-based applications.
  • Design and develop enterprise platforms using Java, web technologies, databases, frameworks, integration patterns, and cloud-focused architecture.
  • Own complete development of new platforms while following established standards and best practices.
  • Drive cloud adoption, usability, user experience, and GenAI adoption for the platform.
  • Participate across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system design, development, and agile practice improvement.
  • Coordinate with internal and external groups, including offshore development and QA teams, infrastructure groups, vendors, and support teams.
  • Translate technical designs into workable software solutions and troubleshoot system integration, infrastructure, or administration issues.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of hands-on Java EE and Core Java experience with strong leadership qualities.
  • Experience developing web services and working with Kafka and service-oriented architectures.
  • Expertise in object-oriented design, design patterns, architecture, and application integration.
  • Working knowledge of database design and SQL.
  • Awareness of or experience with GenAI agentic tools or other GenAI tooling.
  • Strong experience with Spring, JUnit, BDD, and development or automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Strong development, problem-solving, and technical design skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies and work effectively in large, distributed teams.
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience is generally expected for the role.
  • Preferred experience includes AngularJS, ExtJS, AWS or Azure cloud certifications, distributed caching, MongoDB, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Elasticsearch, and vendor-feed data management.
