Base Salary
$180k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead complex technical projects from requirements analysis through design, implementation, testing, and production launch.
- Contribute hands-on to Java implementation while providing technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers.
- Identify and improve platform components to increase robustness and scalability.
- Build features designed for high-volume production use by merchants and shoppers.
- Collaborate across teams and time zones to deliver projects and launch functionality quickly.
- Help develop and operate bank payment solutions including ACH, EFT PADs, and Pay by Bank capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional engineering experience and current experience as a Senior Software Engineer or at a similar level.
- Demonstrated experience building Java-based web services using RESTful and SOAP interfaces.
- Experience designing performant database models in PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Knowledge of software architecture paradigms including event-driven and message-queueing systems.
- Familiarity with complex large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to different stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and time zones, with flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring new visa sponsorship; visa transfers may be supported, but H-1B CAP sponsorship is unavailable.
