Responsibilities
- Develop and review high-quality, maintainable code for in-house insurance products.
- Collaborate with requirements engineers, QA specialists, product owners, and application engineers in a cross-functional product team.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and technical documentation.
- Integrate messaging systems, BPMN workflows, logging frameworks, telemetry solutions, and shared platforms.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and generative AI developments to improve solutions.
Requirements
- At least four years of software development experience across the full software delivery lifecycle.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Angular.
- Previous public cloud experience, particularly with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with modern software architecture and synchronous and asynchronous integration technologies such as RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or Kafka.
- Experience with Maven, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with relational and/or document-based databases, including conceptual domain model design and physical implementation.
- Comfort working primarily in an IDE and with large, established codebases.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills, and comfort working with ambiguity.
- Understanding of insurance or reinsurance business is preferred.
