Responsibilities
- Drive the technical vision for the Product Eligibility domain within an autonomous team.
- Build and maintain platform capabilities, back-office tooling, and occasional customer-facing flows.
- Overhaul how Wise captures and validates customer residence, present location, and address information.
- Design, deploy, and maintain clean RESTful APIs.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases, including schema design and query optimization.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, analysts, engineers, and other teams.
- Write testable code and participate in code reviews and open feedback.
Requirements
- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
- Years of knowledge of Java 8 or later.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and schema design.
- A strong product mindset with a focus on customer experience and data-driven prioritization.
- Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Commitment to best coding practices, code reviews, open feedback, and test-driven development.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, or Backend-for-Frontends is preferred.
- Candidates do not need to have every listed skill and are supported in learning new skills.
