Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, customer-focused features for the Core Platform.
- Drive feature design and development while providing technical and execution leadership.
- Work with product managers to build product roadmaps with clear goals and KPIs.
- Shape the architecture of the team’s work area and the broader product with architects.
- Champion engineering excellence through code coverage, coding guidelines, and review processes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Coordinate with QA, DevOps, documentation, product, and global stakeholder teams on testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Present designs for new initiatives in global architecture forums.
- Engage with customers and partners to support successful adoption and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- An engineering degree in the computer science field.
- Strong competencies in computer science, algorithms, data structures, software design, and large distributed systems.
- 8+ years of experience designing and developing products for enterprise customers.
- 4+ years of experience building large-scale distributed data systems using Java and cloud technologies.
- Experience taking functionality from conception through delivery.
- Experience leading projects with a crew of engineers and providing technical mentorship.
- Experience building services on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including hands-on experience with managed cloud databases.
- Preferred experience with Cassandra, SQS, Kubernetes, big data technologies, and cloud security principles.
- Preferred experience driving customer focus for SaaS products.
