Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate functional and technical requirements into architecture, designs, and working software in collaboration with product managers, UX designers, and customers.
- Design and develop software products and services that affect multiple areas of Amazon’s business.
- Code and test system components and participate in code and design reviews.
- Own end-to-end code quality, system, functional, and integration testing.
- Collaborate across teams and roles to deliver results.
- Own system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Mentor engineers, help define technical culture, and contribute to team growth.
- Develop standardized metrics services and APIs supporting Amazon applications and selling partners.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: experience using generative AI tools, crafting prompts, evaluating AI-generated outputs, and identifying opportunities to integrate AI solutions into products and services.
