Base Salary
$158k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deploy, and operate highly available AgentCore Harness control-plane APIs, data-plane services, and managed agent loops.
- Build secure and isolated execution capabilities for tool orchestration, memory, context management, streaming, identity, networking, observability, and failure handling.
- Develop integrations among Amazon Bedrock, third-party models, AgentCore services, MCP servers, AWS Step Functions, Strands Agents, and customer-defined environments.
- Implement versioning, endpoints, progressive deployment, rollback, evaluation, and optimization capabilities for safely improving agent behavior.
- Improve latency, scalability, availability, resource efficiency, and cost controls across multi-tenant workloads.
- Simplify developer workflows across APIs, SDKs, CLI, console, infrastructure-as-code, and local development through abstractions, templates, defaults, and automation.
- Work with customers and partner teams to reduce friction and accelerate production adoption.
- Contribute to architecture, design reviews, operational readiness, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Machine learning experience is helpful but not required.
