Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security best practices and automated tooling for cloud computing.
- Integrate security into Spotify's infrastructure from ideation to deployment and monitoring.
- Consult and teach security concepts to diverse groups within the company.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the security of Spotify's engineering ecosystem.
- Conduct threat modeling, security reviews, and risk assessments.
- Evaluate and integrate security solutions for Spotify's cloud environment.
- Contribute to security incident response activities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering and cloud computing.
- Expertise with major cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Proficient in automation using languages such as Python, Java, or Golang.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and declarative configuration management.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
- Strong foundation in security skills including cryptography, IAM, and threat modeling.
- Ability to communicate security concepts to non-expert audiences.
- Experience in agile environments and adaptability to change.
- Familiarity with generative AI tools applied to security problems.
- Experience integrating security tooling into production systems at scale.
