Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, design, and governance for enterprise payment, gateway, and digital transaction platforms.
- Develop scalable solution architectures supporting cloud modernization, API-first strategies, and distributed systems.
- Define architecture standards, technology roadmaps, reference architectures, and engineering best practices.
- Translate business and technical requirements into solutions in partnership with product, security, engineering, and business teams.
- Provide technical leadership for complex integrations involving internal platforms, third-party vendors, fintech partners, and payment networks.
- Drive application resiliency, high availability, performance optimization, and operational excellence.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve scalability, automation, security, and customer experience.
- Mentor engineers and architects and influence strategic technology decisions across multiple portfolios.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 10 years of experience with the concepts, philosophies, and tools behind application, information, and underlying information technology design.
- At least 10 years of experience developing and implementing applications.
- Experience designing large-scale, mission-critical enterprise technology platforms.
- Strong expertise in payments, merchant services, payment gateways, or high-volume transaction processing systems.
- Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, cloud-native design patterns, and container-based platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with API, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of security architecture, authentication, authorization, encryption, and risk management principles.
- Expertise in system integration, third-party vendor connectivity, and enterprise service platforms.
- Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, observability, performance engineering, and reliability practices.
- Strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, solution consulting, and architecture governance skills.
