Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end process, architecture, design, and delivery of Smart TV application automation across multiple OEMs and device workflows.
- Build, scale, and own automation frameworks for functional, integration, and regression coverage.
- Implement and maintain service-level and cross-service integration checks.
- Apply AI-enabled failure analysis, risk-based prioritization, test-case generation, and self-healing workflows.
- Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines, configure quality gates and nightly runs, support real or remote TV readiness, and publish results.
- Create engineering and leadership reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and quality insights using Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent tools.
- Optimize software application quality to support defect-free releases and faster release cycles.
- Participate in architecture discussions and planning and collaborate with QA, release management, operations, developers, and third-party partners.
- Mentor engineers and establish coding, architecture, and automation best practices.
Requirements
- At least five years of video-domain automation experience with lead-level ownership.
- At least five years of hands-on coding experience with Python-based automation frameworks.
- Expertise in OCR and AI-based screen validation for TV user interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with LLM or AI agentic services for test generation, failure reasoning, workflow selection, and documentation.
- Experience with CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions and familiarity with pre-commit and secure quality practices.
- Experience building executive-ready quality dashboards and reporting systems.
- Technical expertise in Linux operating system architecture and device models.
- Experience with C or C++ project development, JavaScript, XML, frontend technology, Docker-based execution, scalable runners, and containerized automation environments.
- Minimum qualification: a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related area plus three years of software engineering experience, or five years of software engineering experience.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects, Cisco certification, and knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
