Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate a planet-scale, performant, resilient storage layer.
Develop and maintain automation for storage logging, monitoring, and maintenance.
Work with Hadoop, Spark, Aerospike, Kafka, and related distributed technologies to optimize existing systems.
Participate in complex security-system designs and mentor junior teammates.
Own large projects and components as a senior contributor.
Improve team and division processes and procedures while fostering accountability and collaboration.

Experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting open-source distributed storage solutions such as Ceph and storage orchestrators such as Rook at scale.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management tools such as Salt, Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
Experience with storage-level replication technologies.
Strong experience with capacity planning, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
Strong operations foundation and experience solving complex problems in highly automated environments.
Ability to communicate effectively across teams and manage competing priorities.
