Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business analysts, application architects, technical SMEs, product teams, and stakeholders to gather requirements and develop technical designs.
- Design, configure, build, test, and govern medium- and low-complexity SAP ABAP solutions.
- Provide SAP ABAP production support, including incident management, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, defect resolution, performance tuning, and code optimization.
- Debug complex problems and deliver reliable, maintainable, and high-quality code aligned with requirements and internal standards.
- Support critical business applications, production monitoring, system stability, SLA compliance, and continuous process improvement.
- Prepare technical specifications, assess business-process impacts, and participate in planning, estimation, testing, and project delivery activities.
- Ensure appropriate automation coverage and adherence to SAP release guidelines and production support practices.
- Own and govern the SAP domain within project solution delivery contexts.
- Mentor and upskill engineering teams across different crews.
- Manage delivery conflicts, issues, and risks while maintaining scope and solution alignment.
Requirements
- Strong experience in SAP ABAP production support, including incident management, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and code optimization.
- Proficiency in OOABAP, ABAP on HANA, CDS, OData, RAP, ABAP 7.5+, SOA services, and parallel processing.
- Strong knowledge of OOABAP design principles.
- Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, defect resolution, ABAP Unit Testing, TDD, and production monitoring.
- Experience supporting critical business applications with a focus on system stability, SLA compliance, and process improvement.
- Ability to architect and implement scalable solutions for highly complex problems.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or information systems from an accredited university.
- Exposure to abapGit is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP Business Partner, SAP Banking Services, SAP CRM, and the BDT Framework is preferred.
