Responsibilities
- Design and develop new and existing distributed systems for Prime Video infrastructure and platform services.
- Lead software architecture and technical design focused on reliability and scalability.
- Build and operate mission-critical systems at scale.
- Provide technical leadership as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Participate in coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations across the software development life cycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience mentoring engineers, serving as a tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
