Base Salary
$200k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead highly ambiguous projects from problem definition through delivery.
- Set technical strategy and make architectural decisions for systems spanning teams and product areas.
- Identify cross-team gaps and drive strategies to address them.
- Build, test, and continuously deploy software.
- Create and review technical specifications and maintain high engineering quality standards.
- Collaborate with PMs, designers, internal customers, and stakeholders.
- Mentor and sponsor engineers across the organization.
- Investigate production issues, improve system reliability, and support services as needed.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- Production experience with Python.
- Experience leading complex, multi-team technical projects to successful outcomes.
- Ability to set technical direction and gain buy-in across teams and functions.
- Strong coding fundamentals and ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
- Strong product and systems judgment in ambiguous or evolving problem spaces.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally.
- Experience working effectively on a remote team with strong asynchronous and written communication habits.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, sponsor, and develop other engineers.
- Preferred experience with Vue in production.
- Preferred experience with accounting systems, double-entry bookkeeping, or revenue recognition.
- Preferred familiarity with agentic or AI-assisted systems in production environments.
- Preferred experience integrating with third-party APIs and external systems such as payment processors.
- Accounting, fintech, or related background is of interest.
