Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement real-time on-device machine learning systems for camera and sensor inputs.
- Optimize machine learning models for NPU, GPU, and DSP execution through quantization, hardware-aware architecture design, and custom kernel development.
- Own machine learning models end-to-end from research prototype through deployment and long-term maintenance on hundreds of millions of devices.
- Build training pipelines in JAX and TensorFlow and integrate models into camera pipelines using C++.
- Partner with product, UX, software, hardware, Tensor silicon, and compiler teams to define and deliver device-constrained interactive features.
- Establish machine learning development, deployment, evaluation, and quality-measurement practices and contribute to the technology roadmap.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience with C, C++, machine learning, embedded systems, machine learning algorithms, machine learning architecture, and machine learning research.
- Preferred: Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience taking machine learning models from research prototype to production on mobile or embedded devices and owning them after launch.
- Preferred: experience optimizing models for on-device accelerators through quantization, hardware-aware architecture design, or custom kernels.
- Preferred: experience building and training models in JAX and TensorFlow.
