Base Salary
$96k - $116k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, drive, and execute software solutions for the WEX Bill Pay platform.
- Help define and implement the architectural roadmap for cross-cutting and core Corporate Payments services.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot applications on AWS Cloud.
- Build and enhance event-driven services using Apache Kafka.
- Develop and support PostgreSQL and Oracle database solutions, including SQL development and Oracle stored procedures.
- Collaborate with Corporate Payments engineering teams to reuse development practices, services, and components.
- Apply engineering practices that improve time-to-market while maintaining quality and reliability.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience developing applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing and deploying applications on AWS Cloud.
- Experience building event-driven applications with Apache Kafka.
- Experience supporting PostgreSQL and Oracle Database applications, including Oracle stored procedures and SQL optimization.
- Experience writing automated unit, component, and integration tests and understanding the test pyramid.
- Understanding of software design principles, security, and compliance requirements in cloud and data environments.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and technical communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Preferred: experience in financial services or payments, cloud-native SaaS applications, and geographically distributed engineering teams.
