Base Salary

$197k - $271k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Drive complex technical projects independently from inception through delivery.
  • Architect, design, develop, and operationalize high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient backend services.
  • Build storage-engine, control-plane, transaction, multi-region, and developer-console capabilities for WarpStream.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across a deep technical stack involving microservices, containers, and virtualization.
  • Ensure operational readiness and meet customer availability and performance SLA commitments.
  • Participate in on-call support for production services.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience designing, building, scaling, and supporting backend systems in production.
  • Strong programming and algorithmic skills with proficiency in a major language such as Java, Go, C, C++, or Python.
  • Deep curiosity about and enthusiasm for distributed systems and storage systems.
  • Experience driving operational excellence for large production services.
  • Strong project delivery, communication, customer-centricity, teamwork, technical leadership, and mentorship skills.
