Responsibilities
- Lead architectural assessment of the existing ServiceNow platform, including capabilities, customizations, workflows, data models, and integrations.
- Analyze and remediate customization-driven technical debt affecting upgrade readiness, scalability, and maintainability.
- Define the target ServiceNow architecture, including service taxonomy, service catalog structure, CMDB design, and governance standards.
- Design and guide CSDM-aligned CMDB architecture for service ownership, impact analysis, service mapping, and operational visibility.
- Lead architecture across ITSM, Employee Center, enterprise service catalog, integrations, and platform applications.
- Define integration architecture and oversee data integrations between ServiceNow and external enterprise systems.
- Guide configuration standards, development patterns, governance controls, modernization roadmaps, migration sequencing, and architectural decision frameworks.
- Provide implementation oversight through design reviews, technical governance, quality assurance, and architecture documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, functional leads, government stakeholders, and platform teams to translate operational needs into scalable capabilities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a ServiceNow Platform Architect or Lead Architect supporting enterprise implementations or platform modernization.
- Deep expertise in ServiceNow ITSM, service catalog, CMDB, and platform governance.
- Strong experience designing CMDB architectures aligned with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Experience assessing and remediating heavily customized ServiceNow environments and reducing customization-driven technical debt.
- Experience defining configuration-first delivery models and designing enterprise integrations between ServiceNow and external systems.
- Experience leading platform architecture in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow data models, workflows, integrations, and extensibility patterns.
- Ability to guide enterprise stakeholders through platform modernization and architectural decision-making.
- Required ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
- Required ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certification preferred.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal public trust clearance required.
