Responsibilities
- Translate system requirements and user stories into robust, supportable application designs.
- Develop and test code to ensure it functions as designed.
- Implement code throughout the software development life cycle using CI/CD tooling for deployment and integration.
- Collaborate with Product, Operations, AI Engineering, and Data Science teams on integrated systems and services.
- Contribute to application architecture design where appropriate.
- Build performant APIs with Python and FastAPI and develop applications with Next.js.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines and deploy solutions in cloud environments such as Azure.
- Apply metadata to transactional databases, including schema definition, data lineage, and operational metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven software development experience with a focus on quality and timely delivery.
- Expertise in advanced Python programming, sophisticated design patterns, and FastAPI.
- Advanced Next.js development proficiency.
- Experience leveraging metadata for transactional database understanding and governance.
- Substantial experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, and operating cloud environments such as Azure.
- Working knowledge of data engineering principles, agentic application architecture, AI, ML concepts, and associated frameworks.
- Azure Developer or Google Cloud Engineer Professional certification is preferred.
