Base Salary

$106k - $155k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Drive the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software solutions for semiconductor inspection machines.
  • Develop software solutions for critical customer gaps and issues by understanding system operation and requirements.
  • Evaluate concepts and designs for next-generation systems, including trade-off studies, risk identification, and mitigation planning.
  • Collaborate with distributed teams and systems, hardware, and service engineers to define requirements and build software solutions.
  • Lead and mentor other engineers through the product development cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related work experience, master’s degree with 3 years of related work experience, or doctorate with 0 years of related work experience.
  • Deep conceptual and applied knowledge of object-oriented programming, design patterns, data structures, distributed systems, and multi-threaded and multi-process programming.
  • Understanding of functional programming and its tradeoffs compared with object-oriented programming.
  • Ability to navigate complex technical, functional, and non-functional requirements to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Proficiency writing, deploying, and maintaining production code in C++, Python, or Java.
  • Experience working with large systems composed of multiple subsystem types and interfaces.
  • Ability to turn abstract problem statements into concrete requirements and designs through collaboration.
  • Experience with large amounts of data in ETL pipelines, storage, or visualization use cases.
