Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and optimize product features and backend services.
- Find and resolve bugs in production and development environments.
- Maintain code quality and architecture using SOLID design principles.
- Mentor team members and participate in rigorous code reviews.
- Develop and interpret metrics to monitor production performance.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for team-owned services.
- Document and communicate research and results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience using object-oriented programming languages such as C#, C++, or Java.
- Ability to design and independently deliver moderately complex systems.
- Depth in at least one specialty such as backend, frontend, data, security analytics, cloud, or ML/AI integration, with broad system-level fluency.
- Strong proficiency in C#, Go, or Rust, with enthusiasm to learn the others.
- Experience developing software in Linux/Unix environments and using Git.
- Experience writing unit, component, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Experience building and deploying applications in the public cloud and using Docker containers.
- Problem-solving, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and strong technical communication skills.
- Experience with agentic AI development is preferred.
- Kubernetes, Terraform, gRPC, Azure cloud services, and production microservice logging, monitoring, or tracing experience are considered a plus.
