Responsibilities
- Define and implement solution architecture for high-volume, resilient systems.
- Design, develop, debug, and test object-oriented Java/J2EE code and RESTful APIs using JSON over HTTPS.
- Build cloud-native services and messaging architectures using Kafka, MQ, and ESB.
- Perform database design, performance tuning, and optimization across relational and non-relational databases.
- Contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps practices for repeatable, secure deployments.
- Apply design patterns and algorithms to improve system reliability, maintainability, readability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex IT environments, including networking, security, and performance concerns.
- Collaborate with product managers, financial institution clients, and cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum delivery model.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of recent experience delivering resilient, high-volume solutions in Java/J2EE engineering teams.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience building RESTful APIs using JSON over HTTPS.
- Recent hands-on experience with Java and Spring Frameworks, including Spring Boot.
- Experience designing, writing, debugging, and testing object-oriented code.
- Experience developing 12-Factor cloud-native services and messaging architectures with Kafka, MQ, and ESB.
- Experience with relational and non-relational database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL.
- Advanced understanding of design patterns, software algorithms, and coding techniques that improve testability and maintainability.
- High proficiency with modern CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
- Preferred experience with cloud migration and platforms including Azure, PCF, OpenShift, or AWS.
- Preferred experience with Splunk and file transfer technologies such as NDM, Connect: Direct, or IBM FileGateway.
